Linda and Cecil

Linda Boatwright - Grew up near Oxford, Mississippi before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1964. Attended the Atlanta College of Art from 1970 through 1972 as a painting major and also spent many hours in the dark room developing her photographic skills. In 1973 she and husband Cecil opened "The Great Outdoors", one of the first boutiques devoted to the world of nature. By 1974 Linda was making jewelry from sea shells and minerals. In 1981 the business changed its name to the then more fitting "Jewelcrafters", Atlanta's premier showcase for art jewelry with the rarest of gems.

In the last few years, Linda has returned to painting; mostly painting en plein air in pastel and acrylic.
