Note: the bracket with the 'extra' notch goes on the left side footpeg.
1. Remove the clip and pull out the pin that holds the footpeg on. On the left
side you will need to remove the foot be bracket so you can pull out the pin. On the left
side repin the footpeg lowering bracket to the stock footpeg bracket and bolt back to the
frame. Remove the right side footpeg bracket. Pin the footpeg lowering bracket to the
stock footpeg bracket. Do Not reinstall yet.
2. Remove the two allen bolts that hold the rear brake hydraulic system and brake
pedal linkage. You will need to re-adjust the brake pedal linkage to fit. On most riders
it will need to be adjusted all the way down. You can remove the lock nut for more reach.
Reinstall the right side footpeg and bracket. Use the stock pins on the top of the footpeg
bracket and the bolts on the bottom, at the footpeg.
3. You will nee to re-adjust the the gear shift, also. At the front of the gear
shift there is a rubber dust cover, over the shaft. Under the dust cover is a clip to hold
the gear shift on the shaft. Remove this clip. Remove the linkage to the rear of the gear
shifter. This is held on the gear shift shaft with a 10mm bolt. Pull both ends off of the
two shafts and reposition to move the gear shifter at leat one notch down.
4. Adjust both the gear shift and the brake to fit you.
Remember to adjust the brake light switch. (Remove the right side cover that covers the
battery. Under it, at the bottom, you will find the brake light switch.)
