YACHATS, OREGON

My not-yet-husband and I traveled to Portland, Oregon, and visited with my sister's family.

We then drove along the beautiful Oregon coast to Yachats (yaw-hots), to attend the wedding of his great niece.

George painted me a wonderful watercolor of the Oregon coast as a memory of our first wedding together.

CHICAGO (Chick-a-Go)

To Chicago for the Western Surgical Association conference, where we were able to visit his neice, Sydney Scarborough, a delightful and intelligent woman.

We also visited his granddaughter, Marion Partee, who attended Northwestern then.

The weather was windy, cold, and we had some snow too. We also enjoyed the Chicago Art Institute.
