Asti is a Shih Tzu, looking much like a wild midgit bandit Holstein cow, with a red beard.

Asti is named in regard to loved items...

Asti Spumanti is my favorite beverage, a light, sweet, fun, exciting sparkling champagne.

Mefistopheles is the devil in Faust, who has wild eyebrows.

My deceased husband had such eyebrows, and loved to sing the opera role.
