47 years of life experience as a female (8 years in doggy years), born and raised in Oregon, of Finnish/Lithuanian stock.
The best part of my life involved my exceptional husband, Dr. George B. Markle IV, retired surgeon, who died in October, 1999.
I have lived in New Mexico since 1991. My favorite topics are the little girl doggy Winkie-Poo, and my other doggy Asti Mefistopheles Spumante.
I became a Registered Nurse in 1997.
Hobbies and Interests
Dancing, playing with my computer, home remodeling, doing web pages, reading, traveling, hanging out with my mother, studying, and keeping busy. I'm a non-smoker, sober, anal retentive, AND a type A personality.
I feel about television just like Groucho Marx does.
My heroes: George B. Markle IV, Groucho Marx, Winston Churchill, and Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Pet peeve: The phrase "Never say never." (How many times did you just say "never"?)
Volunteering
I won "BEST NEWCOMER" (of both men and women newcomers) for the Carlsbad Community Theater's 37th season for my role as a psychologist in the play: "This Must Be The Place", which was produced by LaWanda Scholl.
Was also a member of Assistance League of Carlsbad; after two months I became MEMBER OF THE MONTH! On and on about my accomplishments there, if I had the time!
I've also volunteered at the local indigent health care center.
And have done newsletters for two different organizations.
