Ken passed away on March 25, 2004 after an extended
illness with cancer. Ken was a friend to all,
and a mentor to many.
About Ken…
Professional:
Ken was a 30-year veteran of the real estate business.
He began his career in 1970 in Portales, NM. He developed a full
service real estate business, which included almost every area of real
estate. He prefered the small town and the friendly people that go
with that environment. He was bi-lingual, speaking both English
and Spanish. He was a member of the Education Steering
Committee for the New Mexico Real Estate Commission and was an active educator
as well as practicing broker and appraiser.
Education:
Ken graduated from Portales High School and the same summer
began his university work at Eastern New Mexico University, which called
Portales home. His educational career was never ending with a long
list of Colleges and Universities in his background…. · Eastern

Experience:
Ken founded and ran a private school called
“Professional Consultants Inc”, under which he taught pre-licensing courses
for individuals who wanted to take the New Mexico License Exam. He
also traveled the state teaching continuing education seminars to the real
estate professionals. In the mid 80’s he co-hosted a radio
show called “It’s you money”. It aired twice a week. Ken
taught both full time and part time at Eastern New Mexico University over
the past 30 years. Ken served on the board of directors of Mental Health
Resources for 20 years +, and over 12 years on the Selective Service Commission.
