The Vision describes an interconnected open space and trail system for Dona Ana County designed to preserve and enhance our region’s natural and cultural heritage.

During late February and March 2005, CTF presented the
Vision to the Town of
Mesilla, Dona Ana County, and the City of Las Cruces. The elected
officials
of all three local governments unanimously passed resolutions encouraging
the BLM to consider the Vision as they work on the update of the Mimbres
Resource Management Plan. We then submitted the Vision to the Bureau of
Land Management for their consideration (for more info on the BLM’s
