Otero County Habitat for Humanity Restore would like you to adopt them as your special charity.

·       The ReStore is open to the public Wednesdays & Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

·       The Habitat ReStore trades in new, used, discarded, salvaged, and refurbished building materials and home furnishings.

·       Our ReStore allows any homeowner to keep his/her home in decent repair at a reduced cost.

·       The ReStore, along with grants, pays 100% of the affiliate administration costs so that all cash donations go directly to building houses.

·       Items of interest include, but are not limited to: newer large appliances, small appliances, household goods, doors, bathroom fittings, electrical items, flooring materials, cabinets, hardware, lighting & ceiling fans, lumber, piping & plumbing, roofing, tools, vents, wall board & covering, mirrors, some windows & screens, and some furniture.  Also welcome are autos/trucks, land donations, beneficiaries, and volunteers.

·       For every 10,000 persons in a metropolitan area, more than 2.5 houses worth of perfectly good building materials is thrown away each month by homebuilders.  This waste constitutes far more houses thrown away than Otero County Habitat for Humanity builds.  In addition, home remodel items could be the answer to another person’s prayers.

Habitat for Humanity is not a government program.

It is an independent, grassroots, non-profit organization.
