Bobby Vee Concert - April 22, 2001

At the last minute, we were able to get some tickets to a Bobby Vee Concert that was to be performed here in Las Cruces that evening. We jumped in the car and headed to town. It was a benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico and there was only a couple hundred people in attendance, the concert was really great. After the performance, which included the Windsor Creek Trio, we were able to talk to the performers and obtain some souvenirs and autographs.

After getting home from the concert we checked our album collection from way back - 1960's and found that we indeed had two Bobby Vee albums. Didn't have time to look before we went and really didn't know that we would have the opportunity to get autographs or talk to any of the entertainers. It would have been nice to have shown Bobby Vee that Pat was a fan from his earlier days. Pat purchased these albums sometime between 1965 and 1967.
