To all my feathered friends out there, this is a great day.
I believe with your vote we can change history and improve our
lifestyle from second class birds to top-of-the-tree birds. We
have been on the lower branch too long. I, too, am like you,
I came from a dysfunctional home down-under. I, too, was
abused as a baby, taken from my nest of a single parent, taken
to a pet store and sold to the highest bidder and given a first
name without a surname. I have never been arrested or given a
ticket for flying too fast, but yet I could have ended up being
caged for life with no parole! Thanks to Norm and Pat, my flock
parents who gave me the freedom, fortitude and wisdom to seek
this position.
My platform is a just cause for a just system for all of
us.
I need the vote from all of you, including the turkeys that
are still here. I know the holidays are a great sorrow for you.
Many of your loved ones will be gone. Give me your vote and then
you can walk past an oven and won't be scared. You will sit at
the holiday table instead of laying on top with no feathers (to
eat instead of being eaten). We can do it!
I believe hunting is a way of life, but some changes should
be made. Only those contestants that want to end their lives
should be entered. Humans can only use single shot 22s or sling
shots. Let's make it an even sport. When duck hunting, no dogs
are allowed, the hunter will think twice before shooting.
When I am elected I will put forth a bill to allow our adopted
parents to be able to deduct us on their taxes (since we are
part of the family we should be considered as such).
When I am elected I will veto the marriage bill now proposed
on Canaries and Pigeons. This should have been done years ago.
We will push more monies towards the chicken problem.
We now have a lot of Pigeons ON City Hall, but we need them
IN City Hall. I will do this.
Thank you for your time and your vote.
Remember: Birds that flock together, stay together. Let's
get together and VOTE.
