Prowler Pro Gears

After hearing and reading about the Prowler Pro Gears, we decided that now (January 2002) was a good time to add another mod to 'Pumpkin'. Talked with Daryl, another Las Cruces Prowler Owner and friend that suggested that the gears would be a good idea, and who was also interested in doing the same. So we contacted Dean Prodromides at Prowler Pro and ordered a set for each of us. After receiving the gears, we made a date for Saturday to install the gears at the same time. Since Daryl owns a facility with lifts and has all the tools available, we jumped at the chance to work together. By the time we got there Daryl already had the old gears off his 'CoolCat'. We got to work right away and in no time at all, our gears were off and the new ones were installed. The wiring takes a little longer, but not too bad. We took advantage of having the car on the lift, so pulled off all the wheels and painted the hubs and calipers, installed ceramic brake pads and changed to synthetic oil. It was a long day but the end results were definitely worth it. What a ride with the new gears ! ! ! Thanks, Dean for making the Gears and Daryl for helping us with the installation.

Note: Final Drive Ratio: Stock = 2.68, Prowler Pro = 3.42
