SL Club members Junior & Elaine Billstone and Norm & Pat Waleke along with Ken Daby of the El Paso Corvette Club met in Las Cruces and caravaned to Anthony to join forces with The Horseless Carriage Car Club of El Paso to provide transportation for many 'Leap Year birthday and anniversary' celebrants in the 3rd Annual (quad-annual) Leap Year Parade.

Grand Marshall was Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) accompanied by wife Susan who also happens to be a Leap Year 'baby'. In attendance was the Festival founder Mary Ann Brown. Persons from all around the US and as far away as Sweden attended this event. As many as 100 'birthday and anniversary' club members were expected to attend this four day event. A party was held later in the evening with entertainment provided by Graham Nash. A fireworks display ended a great four days.

SL Club members Norm and Pat Waleke were also celebrating their '8th' Anniversary.

Getting ready . . . . .

And here we go . . . .

15 seconds of fame . . . .

Since this event has started to get a lot of media attention there were several newspaper reporters and TV affilliates present to interview many of the participants in the parade. The below photos were still frames from video shown on the local El Paso TV stations later that evening.

Thanks for the souvenir!

Hats off to Graham and Susan Nash and all involved for a great celebration of Leap Year 2000
