A 1/8 scale replica of the Space Shuttle Challenger, built by Mountain Top
Enterprises using rebar, paneling, and fiberglass. The replica is also a memorial, not only
to the Challenger Astronauts, but also the Apollo Astronauts -- all U.S. and U.S.S.R.
Astronauts who have given their lives for the exploration of space. The Challenger and
it crew of seven astronauts were lost 73 seconds after launch on January 28, 1986. |
