ACT Student Films: Are You the Next Hitchcock?

       ACT Student Films is offering “Acting In the Movies” taught by Constance Hasapopoulos (Suter).   Classes will run July 7-18 , Mondays-Fridays, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Mesilla Park Recreation Center the first week and thereafter according to each film’s shooting schedule TBD.   Focused on acting in front of a camera, students will learn auditioning skills, character analysis, screen technique and basic movie set protocol.  Interested students will also write, produce and shoot their own material. Actors will star in roles in their own short films for their acting reel and/or create and act in their own pod casts creations.

 

Constance Hasapopoulos (Suter)

    Constance Hasapopoulos (Suter), screen writer/actor/director, has worked extensively in New Mexico as a director, producer and actress of stage, commercial and film. Most recently An Internal Affair, for which she wrote the screenplay, was advanced to the semi-finals at the Boston Motion Picture Awards.  Ms. Hasapopoulos was a principle actor in the film One Twenty Five which won the 2002 Gold Medal for Best Dramatic Short Film at the Houston Film Festival.   She also co-produced the documentary “Who Fly On Angels Wings”, with Mark Medoff. Most recently "Eyes of a Child", for which she wrote the screen play and in which she had a supporting role, was the winner of the National Eastman Kodak Award 2005.
