TO: DIRECTOR, DCD

SUB: CLASS I SAFETY HAZARD

1. The attached fully articulated shower head was removed from the men's shower room on the second floor of Knox Hall (Bldg 700) on or about 29 Aug 1986. It was replaced by an unfully articulated shower head so that the water stream cannot be easily directed to all parts of the bather's body.

2. As a consequence, bathers must jump into the air to rinse soap from the hairy underparts of their bodies, especially the crotch area.

3. When they make contact with the shower floor, which is covered with two years of slimey green scumb, they can easily slip and fall causing serious injury.

4. Request you reinstall the original shower head as soon as possible, or install a pull-up bar in the shower stall so bathers can elevate their body parts to the water stream.
