Bill and I have
been involved in Archery for approximately 16 years.
We bought the shop in March 1998 from Dave Smith &
Bill has operated it part-time. Bill works full-time with a trucking company but
hopefully he can retire soon & man the shop full
time. While Bill performs the "hard work" ,
i.e., service work, selling & ordering & overall
management of the shop, I perform all the
"behind the scene" work at home.
That includes running payroll for three
employees, vendor invoice processing, inventory
labels, & all other administrative work associated
with having a business. I
also designed & maintain our website
regularly.
We used to travel throughout the country to
participate in 3D
Tournaments but because of
serious health issues, we
stopped competing a few years back.
"So,
the next time you make your way down the 3D trail &
you wait in anticipation for your turn to make that
perfect shot or maybe not so perfect one, think of me
for I'll be there, if not in body but in spirit, for
there is where my passion lies."
Our local Archery
Club, Organ
Mountain Bowmen, will host Fall & Winter
Indoor Archery Leagues which attracts many shooters of
all ages as well as hosting the much anticipated
yearly, Thunderbird 3D Shoot.

Jacob Ellis has been working at
the shop since April/2007. He is a Junior at
Las Cruces High School & enjoys hunting, camping &
participating in archery tournaments around the
area. Jacob enjoys hunting with his Dad
& brothers and has had several successful bow hunts.
He harvested his first two rams four years ago
and also a javalina. Jacob says
he wants to major in either Animal
Science or in Forestry. He lives at home
with his parents, Stan & Margaret & his two
brothers, Matt & Sam. We are proud to have
this polite & outstanding young man working for us &
wish him much success in his studies & achievements!
Thank you Jacob!

He's back! Jimmy Stout
returned to work for us & we are pleased to have him!
Jimmy works part-time at the shop, allowing him the
opportunity to pursue his studies at NMSU.
He is an avid hunter & outdoorsman who relishes the
time he spends hunting & camping with his family.
Welcome back Jimmy & thank you!

Another familiar face at the
shop is Danny Chandler. He helps Bill & Jacob
around
the shop and practices his archery while there.
Danny recently turned 14 years old and is an 8th grader at Sierra Middle
School. He completed a "Hunter Safety
Course" and went deer hunting for the
first time, this fall with Bill.
Danny lives with his mom, LeAnn and is the grandson of our dear friends, Terry & Sammie Edwards of Las
Cruces. (next time you see
Danny, ask him how many "roosters he saw when he
went scouting with Bill!") Thanks
for everything Danny! You're a good kid!
