Recent Work: Figurative Still Life Deborah Wenzel is an artist and art teacher. She teaches art in elementary schools (and periodic adult classes). Teaching enriches her art making and vice versa. Deborah works in pastel, conte crayon, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. She interprets her own impressions of the subject with freshness that comes from working alla prima. She portrays the power of a gesture or expression in figure or portrait studies...the beauty of household objects in her still life.
