The
Writing Center Philosophy:
"The
Writing Center exists to help students become better writers,
not just to help them work on individual assignments. As such, we
won't proofread or edit papers. We will help you recognize your paper's
strengths and your progress as a writer, and we will help you locate
areas of your paper that need work and suggest ways of fixing them."

guides for a variety of topics. Remember, when you locate a reference
book, chances are that you will find similar reference books nearby.
If you're tired of cyber space, you can always speak with an actual

"In the arms of language children will discover the family of
humanity. They will learn what has gone before, and they will
learn what is left to be done. In language they will learn to
laugh, and to grieve, to be consoled in their grief, and to console
others. In language, they will discover who they are."
