WEED CEMETERY
WEED, OTERO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO
| Location: Weed, NM is located south of Cloudcroft and Mayhill on Hwy. 24. From Mayhill, south on Hwy. 130 five miles to left (south) on Hwy. 24 for five miles to Weed. Several Stone families homesteaded in the McDonald Flat area near Weed. Weed is situated at about 7400 elevation in the Sacramento Mountains east of Alamogordo. The sign at Weed declares the population to be 30 -- or was it 20? Pictures taken 28 January 2003. |
