Funeral services for Mrs. A. M. Hoover, 72, were held Saturday morning [July 25, 1959] at the Spur Church of Christ. C. V. Allen officiated, assisted by Robert Bankhead.
Mrs. Hoover suffered a heart attack and died Thursday night [July 23, 1959].
Born in Webster [County], Mississippi, Mrs. Hoover came to Texas in 1900. She married A. M. Hoover in Dublin, Texas on December 8, 1903. She came to Dickens County in 1914 and resided at Spur.
Survivors include the husband and three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Cross, Mrs. Louis Arnold, and Mrs.John Dunaway, and two sons, A. V. Hoover and Travis Hoover, all of Spur. Four other daughters, surviving include Mrs. K. P. Brantner, Jayton; Mrs. W. V. McKay, Whiteface; Mrs. Pat Fletcher, Brownfield; Mrs. J. C. Morin, Ft. Worth. Two other sons are Doyal Hoover, Lovington, NM and Ray Hoover, Hamilton.Two sisters, Mrs. Pete Kendall, Graham and Mrs.Mattie Hill, Mineral Wells survive along with one brother, Carl Embrey, Mineral Wells. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren survive.
Interment was in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Beloved wife of I. Noel Snow
On June 3, 2005 Annabelle Rose Ellis Snow slipped quietly from this life into the presence of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. I. Noel Snow, and by her son, James Arthur Snow. She is survived by two sons: Billy John Snow of Galveston TX and George Edward Snow and wife Phyllis of Alvin TX; by three grandchildren: Jennie McClung and husband Roy of Pearland TX, David Snow of Lubbock TX, and Joanna Diehl and husband Ryan of Freeport TX; and by three great-grandchildren: Stephen, Anna, and Julia McClung of Pearland TX.
She is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Bonny Ferguson and husband Frank of Fort Worth TX and Mrs. LaNell Davis and husband Jim of Creede CO; by one brother: Delwyn Ellis and wife Natalie of Ocoee FL; by two sisters-in-law: Doris Lindow and husband Ken of Horseshoe Bay TX and Marie Ellis of Grande Prairie TX; and by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Snow worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, a PBX operator for Nytex, and a bookkeeper for The Community Public Service in West Columbia TX. She retired from the Community Public Service in West Columbia after 22 years.
Mrs. Snow was born in Chilicothe TX on September 14, 1917 to parents Martin Skelton Ellis and Jeanette Helena Huff. She became a resident of West Columbia TX with her late husband, Rev I. Noel Snow in 1946. Except for an interval of five years, she lived in West Columbia until January of 2000. She had been a resident of Alvin Health Care Center in Alvin TX for four years until her death.
Mrs. Snow was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia TX where she taught a ladies' Bible class for many years. She left the imprint of her faith and values on her sons and their families and on numerous persons during her lifetime of service as a pastor's wife and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family.
Family will receive friends from 10 A. M until 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Church. Her funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Columbia, TX on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 2:00 P.M.
Her interment will be in Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery in West Columbia beside her beloved husband and son.
