NORA BRANTNER
Graveside services for Mrs. Nora Brantner, age 96, were held Tuesday, June 14, 1988 at 3:00p.m. at the Petteway Cemetery. Bro. Frank Downs of the Bremond Church of Christ was the officiating minister.
Serving as pallbearers were Freddie Zach, Herman White, George White, Terry Stellbauer, Neil Oldham and Bubba Fowler.
Mrs. Brantner died at her home in Bremond on June 12th. She was born in Robertson County on March 4, 1892, the daughter of Edward and Emma Webster Lloyd. She owned and operated the old Bremond Hotel until 1926 when it was destroyed by fire.
Mrs. Brantner lived the last 52 years with her daughter, Syble Mitchell. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Syble Mitchell of Bremond; two grandchildren, Jerry Mitchell of Bremond and Joyce Kirby of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Garner of Jacksboro and Mrs. Charlie Atomanczyk of Mart; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Peiskee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

EUNICE WHITE
Funeral services for Eunice Bodine White, age 76, were held Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1989 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Bremond. The pastor, Rev. Stan Ortner was the officiating minister.
Burial was in Post Oak Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Herman White, Leonard White, Ray White, W. B. Jackson, Nester Leamon and Roland Porter.
Mrs. White died Monday in a Franklin Nursing Home. She was born in Franklin on Oct. 13, 1912, the daughter of Lawson and Katie Ford Leamon. She was a graduate of Franklin High School, attended college in San Marcus and earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
On April 5, 1937 she and Ernest Dean White were married in Kosse. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a teacher. She taught for many years in the Bremond Public Schools and retired several years ago.
Mrs. White was a member of the Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 34 years.
Her husband, Dean White, preceded her in death a few years ago.
Survivors include a son, and daughter-in-law, Robert Leamon White and Gayle White of Franklin; and two grandchildren, Russell Dean White and Amy Elizabeth White.
Pieskee Funeral Home of Bremond was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Venita Long Oldham
Evelyn Venita Long Oldham, 90, peacefully entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior February 1, 2008. She was born October 19, 1917, to Rosa Lee Harrison Long and James Albert Long in Bremond, Texas.
Evelyn married Deckard Neil Oldham May 29, 1939, moved to Houston where they raised their family. She was a loving, kind wife, mother and woman of faith, never meeting a stranger.
Teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Spring Branch allowed her the opportunity to tell children about the love of God. As a wonderful cook, she found her niche by joining Spring Branch ISD Food Service and became manager of Housman elementary Cafeteria where once again her kindness and love overflowed to the children.
Preceded in death by Neil, her husband of 52 years, parents, brothers Roland Long and Deckard Long; sisters Loraine Saylors, Flora Hill, Ruth Little, Zelda Moreland and grandson Ryan Oldham.
Survived by son Ronnie Oldham (Sallye) and daughter Betty Bass (Howard); grandchildren Jo Ann Sheppard (Tony), Randy Bass (Sheryl), Amanda Schroeder (Donald), Deeanna Marek (Chris) and David Knape (Laurie); great-grandchildren Austin Sheppard, Andrew Sheppard, J. C. Davis II, Raelyn Davis, Allye Schroeder, Avery Schroeder, Carson Marek and Elliot Marek.
The family wishes to thank and express deepest appreciation to Vali and Chris McNeal and Debbie Kessler for their love and care the past seven years who became Evelyn's second family. Special thanks to Renee, Vickie, Gloria, Dr. A. T. Salek and Dr. Shiraz Dhinani for all their loving care.
Visitation Tuesday, February 5, 2008, 12:00 p.m. with a celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
