Buddies' Web Page Options - Custom Graphics
 
OK, you have chosen to get a homage! But when looking at it, you see the same graphics that are on thousands of other home pages. How original is that?
At Buddies', we believe you home page should be as original as you are! All the graphics are original, or customized to you needs. Of course, if there is a graphic you want on your page that you found on the net, and there are no copyrights pending, we'll add it to your page. We want your home page to be yours, and your decisions.
Matching graphics with backgrounds or borders
One option is to match graphics with the backgrounds or borders of your page. Here are a couple of images that match the borders of our site.
Buttons are used for navigation's, e-mail, or links.
They can be made to look flat, or 3D. This one is an E-mail link to us, with the 3D effects to match the borders. Try it.		 Button Example
Dividing Bars, like the ones below are used to change thoughts or ideas within the page. Kind of like dividing paragraphs or images from each other. The top one matches our site, the second one is known as a Horizontal Rule. Both can be made to any size or color.

Photographs and Thumbnails
Pictures are a great idea for either Personal or Business sites. It allows the "surfer" to actually see what your talking about. It may be something like a Portrait of yourself or a friend, or it may be your product that your selling. At the right is a thumbnail image. It allows the "surfer" to get an idea of what the picture is, but it is much quicker to load. The thumbnails may be Links to a larger image of the same picture.

As with any thing else, caution should be used when placing a large number of graphics on a page. Too many graphics on a page will slow the load time of the pages. Using a theme, where sets of images are reused throughout the site, will allow more images to be used, due to the fact the theme images will be pre loaded in "cache", and allow the new images time to load.

Another neat idea is a Photo Index. This allows the surfer to choose which photos to look at. Or, a text only version of your site. This allows the material on your site to be viewed, without images. These are super-quick loading pages, and a preference to some viewers.
