Massage During Pregnancy, First Edition
Bette L. Waters
The first book ever written about pregnancy and massage. Bette Waters
is a Certified Nurse-Midwife. Her husband was a licensed massage therapist
who was taught very little in his massage college in 1990. Waters and her
husband owned a massage facility. This book was first a three day seminar
taught by the couple. They could accommodate only 20 students at a time.
Later Waters turned the seminar into this book first published in 1995.
Waters contacted Paul St. John, LMT, the developer of Neuromuscular
Therapy, whom she knew only by reputation. He was excited about the project.
She sent him the eight chapters she had finished and he wrote a wonderful introduction
to the book.
