Forty Years

CDR opened in the summer of 1958 and is still providing a quality camp experience for boys and leaders. Camp Dale Resler celebrated it's 40th anniversary with a re-dedication ceremony on June 25, 1998, which was also the 96th birthday of Dale Resler's widow Nona.

Traditions and Other Information

Over the course of 40 years a camp develops a few traditions.  Some of these bring fond memories to past Scouts and Scouters and build memories for today's campers. Two of  these traditions are the song "Totems of Dale Resler"  and the CDR Grace.
The Solo Hike was a tradition started in 1972 at CDR and continued for many years.
This tradition died out for a time and was revived the summer of 1998.
The year 2001 may be the start of a new tradition.
Poems and or stories written by campers or staff.
Here is a beautiful poem written by a member of the 2000 camp staff.
