but could be done with other versions.

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.   
It is my hope that you will take what I provide 
and do your own thing with it.

STEPS - These are the steps I used.

1.

Lets Begin

Open: chick-3.pspimage
For this chick we will just be rotating the chick we made from Pages one and two

 Layers

Here is a list of the layers I have
eye
front leg shading
front leg
front foot shading
front foot
wing details
wing shading
wing
head shading
head
halo
upper beak shading
upper beak
lower beak shading
lower beak
body shading
body
wing* details
wing* shading
wing*
back leg shading
back leg
back foot shading
back foot

3.

 Combining Layers

Click on one of the shading layers
Layers/ Merge/ Merge Down

Repeat for each shading layer

Click on one of the details layers
Layers/ Merge/ Merge Down

Repeat for the other details layer

Click on front leg
Layers/ Merge/ Merge Down

Repeat for back leg

Here is what we have now

Click the eye next to the following: 
front foot
wing
halo
back foot
Raster 1

Right Click on body/ Merge/ Merge Visible
Layers/ View/ All

 Changing Canvas Size

Image/ Canvas Size/
Change Width to: 300 

Under Placement Click the left Arrow
This places all 100 pixels on the right of the image
OK

 Rotating The Body

Active Layer/ Merged

Image/ Free Rotate
Direction: Right
Free: 75.00
All Layers: NOT Checked
Rotate single layer around canvas center: NOT checked

Looks pretty funny but we will fix that

Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]
Selections/ Float [Ctrl+F]
Selections/ Defloat [Ctrl+Shift+F]

Hold down the Ctrl Key and
Tap the right Arrow Key 4 times
Tap the down Arrow Key 4 times

Adjusting the Wing

Active layer: wing

Selections/ Select All [Ctrl+A]
Selections/ Float [Ctrl+F]
Selections/ Defloat [Ctrl+Shift+F]

Hold down the Ctrl Key and
Tap the right Arrow Key 5 times

Selections/ Select None [Ctrl+D]

Image/ Free Rotate
Direction: Right
Free:15.00
All Layers: NOT Checked
Rotate single layer around canvas center: NOT checked

I thought the shadow under the wing looked a little harsh now

Lighten/Darken Brush [L]
Shape: Round
Size: 5
Hardness: 45
Step: 10
Density: 75
Thickness: 100
Rotation: 0
Opacity: 75

Run the brush over the wing shadow to lighten it a little

 Halo

Active layer: halo
Layers/ Arrange/ Move Down

For some reason when I did the select all thingy and moved the halo it left behind a shadow so I hit undo and used the Selection Tool [S]
Selection Type: Rectangle
Mode: Replace
Feather: 0
Anti-alias: NOT Checked

Draw a rectangle around the halo
Click inside the rectangle to make the selection
Image/ Free Rotate
Direction: Right
Free: 60.00
All Layers: NOT Checked
Rotate single layer around canvas center: NOT checked

Drag the halo into place

 Optional Step

Save as a tube Optional

9.

 Final Touches

I went back and lightened the wing shadow some more
Then I used the smudge brush on it a little

 I hope you enjoyed making these chicks
