Basic knowledge of vectors and layers

Remember to SaveOften  

This is a fun easy way of making flowers and does not contain any vectors

1.

Lets Begin

New Image 400 x 400
File/Save As:fun-flowers.pspimage

View/ Grid [Ctrl+Alt+G]

View/ Change, Grid, Guide & Snap Properties
Current image settings
Position
Horizontal grids: 200
Vertical grids: 200
Units: pixels

 Flower One

Paint Brush
Click on the arrow below Presets: 

Select: Sheet Metal
Use the default settings except:
Change Size to: 55

Note: You can click on the first preset then type the first letter of the 
brush you want "S" and it will skip down to the S's

Foreground Color: #EA501A
Background Color: #FDC0AD
I just drew a donut shape with a twist on top in the upper left grid

I used Eye Candy 4000
Settings for Eye Candy 3.1 are shown in: orange
The screen shots are all done with Eye Candy 4000

Draw another blob in the second section

Draw a smaller blob on top of the first one

Layer Palette
Double Click on Raster 2
Click on the arrow next to Blend Modes
Scroll down and select: Dissolve
Click OK
Drag the opacity slider to the desired percentage

Note: as you lower the opacity the image dissolves 
letting some of the layer below show through

Layer Palette
Click the eye next to flower 1 to turn it off

Right click on one of the remaining two layers
Merge/ Merge visible

Layer Palette
Rename: flower 2

Turn flower 1 back on

Select: Hair - tight curls
Use the default settings:

Draw another blob in the third block

Adjust/ Sharpness/ Sharpen More

The Auto Actions window may pop up saying that the paintbrush will reset
I don't know why it does it with some brushes but not all
Just click OK

Fill in:
Cells Across: 2
Cells Down: 2
Tube name: FunFlowers.PSPTube

Note: You will notice in the screen shot that I put LF_
before Fun Flowers. I do this to all my tubes. 
That way they will sort together, and I can easily tell which ones are mine

Note: This was only a sampling of what can be done. Try out some of the other brushes that came with PSP8
