This tutorial was done with PSP8 but could be done with PSP7 Changes for PSP7 are highlighted in blue

All of my tutorials are written following the steps I used to make my graphic.

It is fine to make yours exactly as I did mine, but it is my hope that you will do it your way and make it uniquely yours.

	YOU WILL NEED
	Paint Shop Pro Download a trial version here Basic knowledge of vectors and layers
	Remember to Save Often STEPS - These are the steps I used.
1.	Lets Begin
	New Image 100 x 100 File/Save As: petal.psp Foreground color: #FC0D46 Background style: Null Preset Shape: Flower Antialias: checked Create as vector: checked Line style: solid Line width: 1
2.	Make A Petal
	Draw a flower to almost fill the space Object Selection Tool Right click/Align/Center in Canvas PSP8 Pen Tool Mode: Edit Mode PSP7 Right click/Node Edit Click on each of the inner nodes and pull them towards the center Click on each of the outside nodes and pull them out slightly Note if you can't see the ends of some of the nodes just run the mouse over the edge of the window until you see the double arrow. Then drag the edge out until you can see the entire node. In the layer palette right click on the + sign next to Vector 1 Right click and choose Properties Change the fill color to: #FC4E72 Convert layer to raster Magic Wand Click outside the petal and save selection to Alpha Channel
3.	Shading The Petal
	New Raster Layer Paintbrush PSP7 Shape: Round Size: 3 Hardness: 100 Opacity: 100 Step: 25 Density: 100 PSP8 Shape: +Round 05 Size: 6 Hardness: 100 Step: 25 Density: 100 Thickness: 100 Opacity: 100 Blend Mode: Normal Continuous: Checked Wet Look Paint: Unchecked Using #FC0D46 paint on some shading around the edge Apply a Gaussian Blur - radius of 5.00 Load Selection from Alpha Channel Hit the Del key to clean up any over blur New Raster Layer Change brush size to 3 Using #FFF5F7 paint on some lines in the center Apply a Gaussian Blur - radius of 5.00 Apply the blur again Load Selection from Alpha Channel Hit the Del key to clean up any over blur Continue: Adding a new layer Painting on shading Applying the blur Cleaning up over blur until satisfied with the petal Change colors and brush sizes as needed The last layer I changed the Radius of the Gaussian Blur to: 2.00 When satisfied, merge visible and save Edit/Copy and close the petal
4.	Making The Tube
	New Image 400 x 200 Turn on the Grid and set the properties to Horizontal: 100 Vertical: 100 Edit/Paste and place the petal in the center of the first block Edit/Paste and paste in the second box, keep selected Image/Rotate 45 to the right making sure that All Layers is NOT Checked Paste another in the fourth box Edit/Resize 80 percent making sure that all Layers is NOT Checked Edit/Copy Edit/Paste and rotate as above Select all four petals Edit/Copy Edit/Paste Paste them into the remaining four boxes Adjust the brightness by 25 percent File/Export/Picture Tube/geranium.tub
5.	The Stems
	New Image 500 x 500 File/Save as: geranium.psp Foreground color: #3F3905 Background color: #949642 Preset Shape: Rectangle Line Style: Solid Width: 1.00 Antialias: checked Create as vector: checked Draw several long thin rectangles for stems Node edit to shape as desired Layers/Convert to Raster Layer Add Noise: 25% Uniform
6.	The Petals
	New Raster Layer Picture Tube/geranium.tub Scale: 30%, 25% for smaller cluster Place some petals Add Noise 25% New Raster layer Place more petals Add Noise 25%
7.	The Buds
	New Raster Layer below the flower layers Foreground color: #3F3905 Background style: Null Pen Tool Line Type: Freehand Line Line Style: Solid Width: 1.00 Antialias: checked Create as vector: Not checked Simple Mode: Checked Draw some stems for the buds New Vector Layer Foreground color: #3F3905 Background color: #949642 Preset Shape: Ellipse Line Style: Solid Width: 1.00 Antialias: checked Create as vector: checked Add some buds Layers/Convert to Raster Layer Add Noise: 25% Uniform New Vector Layer below the bud layer Change colors Foreground color: #BD0A27 Background color: #FC4E72 Draw some more ellipses for the buds that are opening Layers/Convert to Raster Layer Add Noise: 25% Uniform
8.	The Leaves
	New Vector Layer: leaves Foreground color: #3F3905 Background style: Null Preset Shape: Ellipse Line Style: Solid Width: 1.00 Antialias: checked Create as vector: checked Draw a couple of Ellipses for leaves Node edit to shape as desired In the layer palette right click on the + sign next to leaves Hold down the Shift key and click on each ellipse to select Right click and choose Properties Change the fill color to: #949642 Layers/Convert to Raster Layer Add Noise: 25% Uniform Continue adding layers and leaves until satisfied
9.	Leaf Detail
	New Raster Layer Foreground color: #695705 Background Style: Null Draw Tool Freehand Line Width: 1.00 Antialias: checked Create as vector: NOT checked Simple Mode: Checked Draw on some veins Apply Gaussian Blur - Radius: 2.00 New Raster Layer Foreground color: #3F3905 Background color: #695705 Paint Brush PSP7 Shape: Round Size: 25 Hardness: 25 Opacity: 25 Step: 25 Density: 25 Build Up: NOT checked Paint Brush PSP8 Brush: + Round 05 Shape: Round Size: 15 Hardness: 25 Step: 25 Density: 23 Thickness: 100 Rotation: 0 Opacity: 25 Blend Mode: Normal Continuous: NOT checked Wet Look Paint: Not Checked Brush on some coloring for a two toned leaf Turn off all except the three layers of each leaf Layers/Merge/Merge Visible Repeat for each leaf or group of leaves Adjust leaves and stems as needed some in the front and some in the back
10.	Drop Shadows
	Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Offsets: 1 Opacity: 66 Blur: 6.2 Shadow Color: #400000 for flowers Shadow Color: #3F3905 for leaves and stems
