In PSP 6 and 7 the Tool Options
Palette was floating.
Starting with PSP8 it is anchored below the main toolbar.

Place the cursor at 46,11

Numbers are now on the right side of the screen below the layer palette
Click and hold the Left Mouse button while moving the cursor downward and to
the right until you get to 141,130

Release the mouse button

PSP 6 and 7 used the Object Selector to chose Node Edit.
Starting with PSP 8 the Pen Tool is used with the
mode set to: Edit
You will see the bouncing box around the object
Click on any blank space to begin editing |

In PSP 6 and 7 when you chose Node Edit the fill was automatically turned off.
Starting with PSP 8
You need to manually turn off the fill.
To do this click on the eye next to
the layer in the Layer Palette.

Starting in PSP9 When you use the Rectangle, Ellipse or Symmetric Shape
You
need to convert the object to a path.
To do this go to Objects/ Convert to Path
Now you can edit the nodes as in other versions.
If you use the Preset Shape tool you do not have to do this |
Objects/ Convert to Path
Add 2 nodes

Click on the Left side node Hold down the Shift Key and click on the Right
side node

Release the Shift Key
Click and hold the Rotation Point

and move it upwards until the nodes are are about even with the center node

Click the left node
Tap the Left Arrow key on the keypad 10 times
Click the right node
Tap the Right Arrow key on the keypad 10 times

In the earlier versions the nodes in the ellipse were set to Cusp.
In PSP 9
they are set to Smooth
Double click on any node [this selects them all]
Right Click/ Node Type/ Cusp |
Click on the right node we added
Hold down the shift key and click on the Left node we added
Release the Shift Key
Tap the down arrow on the keypad 25 times

Use the control Arms to adjust the shape of the flower
