ABOUT COLLIER'S PUBLISHING CO.

Fred C. Collier

Collier's Publishing Company had its beginnings in 1970, when its founder was first introduced to the Fulness of the Restored Gospel as taught by the Prophet Joseph Smith and his associates in the Priesthood. It was at this time that he first became aware of the fact that there are many important doctrinal teachings and historical events which are not taught in the Church. From this time on he became deeply involved in the research and collecting of heretofore unpublished historical documents and material which pertained to the Restoration.

At the age of 14 he chose to be a writer and ultimately his interest in the Fulness of the Gospel led him into a publishing business which focused on the Higher Doctrines of the Restoration. His first published work was in 1974 with the publication of 4 separate accounts of President Young's heretofore unpublished 8 October 1854 Conference address, under the title of
Doctrine of the Priesthood. From that beginning the body of printed material coming from Collier's Publishing Co. has continued to increase until the present time, with 36 separate works, 4 different hardbound books, and a host of others, many of which are only waiting for the finishing touch before publication. Most all of these embark on the cutting edge of scholarship, in the forever broadening frontier of early Church History and the Fulness of the Restored Gospel.

At the very beginning of the Restoration, the Prophet Joseph Smith was given a Revelation wherein he was commanded of God to keep a Record. But of what value is this record, if it is not published and made available for the enlightenment of the Saints! It is to this cause that Collier's Publishing Company has devoted itself in the years past, and to which it will remain devoted in the future.
