This book consists of a collection of revelations which have not been included in the Doctrine and Covenants, covering the period of Church history from 1829 to 1918.

Revelations contained in this volume deal with many interesting subjects, such as the United Order — The Creation of the Kingdom of God at Nauvoo and its unwritten Constitution — The Plural Marriage of Joseph Smith to Sarah Ann Whitney — A speech given by President Brigham Young, which from 1877 to 1904 was employed as the Lecture at the Veil — A Vision of Holocaust given to President John Taylor in 1877 — Several revelations dealing with the Council of Fifty — and several others dealing with the clash of the L.D.S. Church with the Government of the United States over the continued practice of Plural Marriage during the 1880's.
