EMT/Deputy Lance Shepan |

Deputy Lance Shepan has been attached to the SRT since 1999 and has been a EMT-B since 1994. Having started in the Emergency Medical Services as a EMT in 1981, he worked at the local hospital as an E.R. Technician. He spent 2 years in the U.S. Navy were he saw combat in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983. He spent 6 years working as a firefighter/EMT for the NASA Fire Department at the White Sands Test Facility, where he was the EMS Coordinator and Physical Fitness Coordinator. He holds certifications in NTOA Tactical Emergency Medical Support, Health Metrics Fitness Coordinator, Emergency Medical Dispatcher Instructor, Firefighter, Auto Extrication, Hazardous Materials Technician, Confined space Rescue, and Wild Land Firefighting. Shepan has also graduated from DASO's Basic SWAT/SRT school, DASO's Advanced SWAT/SRT School, and is currently assigned to DASO's Community Policing Division. |
