DASO SRTBiography: P. Stinnett

Lieutenant Paul Stinnett has been employed with the New Mexico State University Police Dept. as an officer since 1997 and has been a law enforcement officer for over 20 years. He has been a member of the Special Response Team since 2001. Lt. Stinnett is an administration supervisor for NMSU and fulfills many other duties within the University Police Department. Lt. Stinnett holds a Bachelor's degree in general studies from New Mexico Tech, and was a infantry Captain with the USMC. He is a police Defensive Tactics Instructor, Rappel Master, Advanced TASER Instructor, Tactical Handgun Instructor and Firearms Instructor. Lt. Stinnett is also a graduate of the US Army's MP SWAT School, a WMD Tactical Operations Course and DASO's Basic and Advanced SWAT/SRT schools
