Earning
a living in the music business in Ruidoso is a difficult if not
impossible task without a primary income in another profession.
Lanny Maddox escapes the tension and tedium of law enforcement
activities by creatively expressing himself thru music composition and
performance. In his latest CD "Spirit Dreamer" he shows
his love of heritage and spirituality thru his technical skills on the
Native American Flute. Haunting, romantic and very spiritual music
emanates from his newest compositions. The selection we have
chosen to represent his album is "The Wolves Lament". Listen
closely and you can hear the drone of the wolf mimicking the colorful
tones of a handmade flute. During the day he lends his expertise
and impressive academy credentials to the Village of Ruidoso as our
Chief of Police, evenings he is a most spiritual human being, a
sensitive performer and one of Ruidoso's Stars.
