The Treasurer's report was presented via e-mail in her absence.
TRAINING CLASSES:
SEMINAR: There are currently 34 people registered for the seminar with or 11 or 12 being members. Quite a few are from Tucson. La Quinta has pet rooms offering a discount.
Membership rosters were passed around, as were attendance forms which were filled out and handed back to Pam Smith. The club seriously needs a membership drive. Flyers or brochures need to be put together to be given out at the first class meeting and at other events.
Sandia Dog Obedience Club checked with our club to see if the would have a conflict with their September trial date of September 25 and 26. They are planning a Spring Agility Trial for week 11 of 2005 which will be moved to avoid Easter.
Mesilla Valley Kennel Club has again approached us to see if we want to hold an additional trial at their site the first weekend of October with DOCLC doing all the work to put it on and making and taking the losses. AKC has said we would be approved to do so. There continues to be no interest in DOCLC doing this.
Charlene Curry has been approached by the Animal Shelter and the Humane Society about holding a Dog Expo. She would like it to be better than the previous one. Would the club be willing to support this in the future? She is trying to set a date that wouldn't conflict with area shows and trials. She will be checking back with us in the future when a date is set. The Humane Society is sending people to apprentice in our training classes.
TRAILER: The trailer has arrived. It is 7' x 18' x 6 _'. Vic and Steve will be working on it in the next few weeks. Vic will get a lifetime registration for it from the state.
The silent auction will be held April 3 at 2:00 PM at Pam Smith's.
Brags were presented.
The next meeting will be April 1.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:08.
