The DOCLC has been offering dog training classes in Las Cruces since 1971. Our training methods use positive reinforcement and praise rather than harsh corrections. Our goals are to help you and your dog become an effective obedience team and to teach your dog to be a better family member.
Discounts are given for prior DOCLC students, spayed or neutered dogs, and dogs adopted from the Dona Ana County Animal Shelter.

One weekend every September, the DOCLC hosts two obedience trials, sanctioned by the American Kennel Club. While these trials are usually small (typically around 75 dogs in competition), they often feature some of the top obedience dogs in the country, with competitors coming from as far away as California or east Texas.
