Therapaws Information

Thank you for your interest in Therapaws. We are always excited about adding new members to our group.

We hope that you have decided that Therapaws is right for you and your dog. The next step toward becoming a registered member of Therapy Dogs, Inc. is to be tested by one of our tester/observers and then to be observed two more times. You will need to have your veterinarian sign your application and then send your application, test, and $20 fee to TDI (Therapy Dogs Inc.) in Cheyenne, WY. You can find more information about TDI at http://www.therapydogs.com.

Please check with any of the Tester/Observers listed below to make sure that one of them will be present at the facility you plan to visit. There are occasionally times when all of them are unavailable. When you come to be tested, please bring the enclosed Test form, the Release of Claims form, and a copy of your dog's Rabies Certificate.

We also visit the classes for developmentally disabled and behavior disorder students in various area schools during the school year. These visits usually take place on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. We try to make sure that all visits are scheduled on the Dog Obedience Club's Calendar, which can be found at http://ical.mac.com/nchanover/DOCLC.

You probably have noticed that many of us wear special Therapaws shirts. If you are interested in getting a shirt, they are available through Hoop-D-Dudes next to Albertsons on El Paseo and cost around $20 with embroidery.
