Fate,
that directs our synchronized flow
into cycles
of
Destiny?
Or is it through
Will and Grace
that we
anticipate
the Outcomes
of
Our
Actions?
Or is it the eclipse
Of our Invisible inter-network
placing the action
Of the material
with the Ether?

The Work
Ocean To Honor the inner myths of horses, unicorns, waves and Dreams of Innocence.
Thunder Horse In response to a book cover drawing, expressive strokes of India ink, an abstraction of the horse. The book is based on the Mescalero Apache Tribe, "Thunder Rides A Black Horse" by Claire R. Farrer.
The Void A Black Doorway stands for the Void. The Unknown, a Gateway for growth and change. Its centered on the edge of a circle facing in.
Lightening Horse Is a conceptual perception to balance Thunder Horse. There was light before sound. Elements of our humble beginnings parallel expressions in our Shadow World.
Not in picture but was present at the 1997 show:
Cry's
To Heaven
About finding one's passion in Life. The
Dragon cry's to Heaven to bring passion and life back into the Heart of Stone
which is grasped in her left claw.
Alter-Piece
Made with the intention of honoring the warrior's spirit of nonviolent action
through the use of one's inner vision, voice and balance of opposites. Gandhi's
and Martin Luther King's life is an example of this energy.
All Works were back dropped within a landscape of Light & Sound screens with scents from my childhood: The juniper trees for the mountains in Mescalero; the roses for Tularosa; the Lilac bush for my deceased mother; the Earth for healing & support. Many of the art pieces were circling the horse skull which represents the transition of Spirit.
Sponsored by University of New Mexico Art Dept.; Mescalero Apache Tribal Education; Osuna Nursery in Albuquerque, NM.
