  1. Know who you are and what your area of expertise is, as well as your limitations.

  2. Plan and market, plan and market for future business.

  3. Accept as much work as you can without interfering with your job. In the beginning, give your skills away until you are very good and have experience. Then establish a consulting fee.

  4. Know your worth and don't charge too little-or too much.

  5. LIsten reflectively to your participants and colleagues.

  6. Respond to the needs of your clients. Remain as flexible as possible.

  7. Continue to communicate with your clients even after the workshop ends.

  8. Know your competition and learn from them.

  9. Be self-confident without being arrogant.

  10. Communicate clearly and concisely. If it isn't in writing, it doesn't exist.
