Introduction

Training instructors to plan and organize a telecourse as well as teach at a distance is the key to success and survival in this growing competitive market Teaching at a distance is different from traditional teaching and requires different and sharper skills. Are there areas of competence in distance teaching that differ from traditional teaching? If so, what are they and how do we train instructors for top quality distance learning programs?
