Introduction

The ability to visualize the key ideas of a teleclass that takes advantage of the visual delivery technologies of interactive television and the World Wide Web will distinguish marginal quality telecourses from top quality telecourses. This workshop trains instructors to present their visual ideas with electronic presentation graphics such as PowerPoint. It takes the instructor beyound bulleted verbal-based presentations, and trains them to incorporate word pictures, electronic clip art, and animations that are correlated with well designed study guides.

Institutions desiring this workshop must provide at least 10 computers (either Macintosh or PC) and the PowerPoint software. The workshop should be limited to 20 participants. Two participants may be paired at each computer.

Workshop Learning Performance Objectives

Design presentations in PowerPoint with word pictures, clip art, short animations, and keywords.

Identify sources of electronic clip art.

Visualize key points for a short presentation.
