MUSIC PAGE

WELCOME YA'LL! Although the above graphics is suppose to be humorous, there is a lot of truth in what it says. When I'm feelin' hum-drum and can't seem to get it in gear, I put on some Bluegrass music. Before it even gets to the first banjo break I'm up and truckin'. And why not? No other music has so much energy. After all, it moves at about the speed of light.

As a kid I started pickin' rock & roll in the late 50's. Played in rock & roll bands and had a few of my own. When R&R went sour in the 70's I turned to outlaw music. Waylon, Willy, etc. But 10 or 12 years ago I was reinroduced to Bluegrass. I would never have admitted it to my R&R friends, but I liked Bluegrass music. I hadn't played for a number of years because of arthritis, but these new found friends assured me that we'd be pickin' just for fun. And man alive it's been a ball! It's very difficult for me to play the flatop so I switch to the dobro from time to time. That's me (if you loaded the music) doing part of my break for our version of "Free Born Man." Bet you can tell that I'm havein' fun, fun, fun. So try a little Bluegrass, or if ya want to meet some good folk and enjoy a family setting, go to a Bluegrass festival. It'll do ya a world of good. Hope ya enjoy this page and it's of some use to you. Jer.
