Your child's health, safety and security are important to First Baptist Church. • Our preschool rooms are clean and the floors are vacuumed several times a week. • Our teachers use a fresh pair of disposable gloves for each diaper change and are careful to wash their hands and the child's hands after each diaper change. • We have a well-child policy that helps protect children from communicable diseases. As a protection for all the children, we do not admit a child with a fever and other obvious signs of any contagious disease. • We require a minimum of two adult workers per room. We ask our workers to fill out a personal information sheet, complete with background information. • In our preschool there is a security system using security cards similar to claim checks. Children will not be released to anyone who does not present the security number. • We ask parents to wait at the door for their preschoolers instead of walking into the room. This prevents our more adventurous little ones from escaping in all the confusion. It will insure that each child leaves with the appropriate adult.
All these policies and procedures are to assure you that your child is safe while in our care. Children are important to God and to First Baptist Church.
