Horse = poplar

Tail = horse hair

Rider = sugar pine

FINISH:

Horse and Rider = milk paint, glaze and satin polyurethane.

Roses = aniline dye and satin polyurethane.

CONSTRUCTION:

The head and legs were attached to the rider body using mortise and tenon.

The roses (located on both sides of the horse) were made by steam bending the individual petals and then gluing them together.
