Russell Christensen

(...One touch of the clay
was all I needed
to decide my fate.)

Iowa artist Russell Christiansen has been working in the art business for over fourteen years. In 1989 his interest in art changed and he started sculpting while studying under the direction of several national artists. His subjects are primarily wildlife and western due to his concern over our endangered environment. His goal is to make people take a second look at the fragile world that surrounds them. Russ feels that art should come from the dreams of one's own mind and is a gift that should be shared with others. Russ has been chosen to participate at an International show where 175 artists out of the United States and Canada were chosen to represent their countries. Russ has shown in museums, galleries, major art shows, and corporations. If you travel through Audubon, Iowa be sure and stop by the library and see the 7 foot statue of John James Audubon that Russ was commissioned to do. Russell's art work has traveled and sold throughout the United States. Look for his fine art pieces at galleries and shows near you.
