Feb. 13, 2008

Present:  Bob Paul, Charlie Yaryan, Donna Mathis, Jean-Bernard Nganou

Excused:  Jean Rhodes

Guests:  Robert Taylor and Margie Burr

Bob Paul opened the meeting with prayer.

Bob Taylor spoke to the teame about his charge from the Session in 2003 to look into the possibility of a columbarium for First Presbyterian Church.  There were three installments in the Lantern about this subject.  Robert McPherson and Bob Taylor gave report to the Building and Grounds Ministry team.  There was no response from the team or the Session.  Bob states he doesn’t know if there is an interest in columbaria, but he requests a report be done and distributed to the whole congregation to find out if there is an interest.  He said a cabinet as simple as six by six feet with twelve inch niches would cost less than $200.00 per cabinet. Margie Burr brought brochures for us to look at of columbaria.  It was suggested we send out a questionnaire and if we get positive input, we then will present it to the Session. The suggestion was accepted.

New business:  A recording Secretary.  Bob Paul asked for volunteers for this one meeting to take the minutes.  Donna Mathis offered to take the minutes.  Bob wants to wait till the full committee is present to choose a recording secretary.
