Building and Grounds Meeting

August 13, 2008

            Present:  Charlie Yaryan, Donna Mathis, Ralph Miller

            Excused:  Bob Paul, Jean-Bernard Nganou, Jean Rhodes

             Charlie Yaryan opened the meeting with prayer.

             We welcomed Ralph Miller, as our newest member, to the B&G committee.

             Charlie purchased $100.00 worth of much needed tools for B&G.

             B&G Honor Roll:

•               Playground Table Top Replacement (Ed & Donna)

•               New lenses for outside lights (Charlie & Ed)

•               Garbage disposal (Charlie & Jerry Duran)

•               Doorbell repair (Bob Paul)

•               Mailbox repair (Bob) 

•               Hiring of Janitor/handyman (B&G and Admin.)

 Donna will write an article for the Lantern to introduce Jerry Duran, our new janitor/handyman, to our congregation.

            We discussed having a late September or early October Work Day.  It was decided that September 27 will be presented to the Session for approval.  Charlie and Ralph will be leaders for the Work Day.

 Charlie will order new fluorescent diffusers for Jones Hall and elsewhere as needed.

 Discussion on how best to remove stains on outside wall of Sanctuary is still ongoing.

 Ralph closed with prayer.

 Action items:  Discussion on Jerry Duran and salary

                        Workday:   September 27, 2008.
