MEETING MINUTES 

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS MINISTRY

Minutes of Meeting

   October 13, 2009

Present were: Bob Paul, Charlie Yaryan, Ralph Miller, and Austin Breck.

Excused was Bill Brady.

 The meeting was opened in prayer 7:00 PM.

 Old business

• Electronic Sign Plan: The proposal will be presented to Administration Ministry and Session by end of October

• The status of the ground maintenance contract was reviewed. It was agreed that the results have been quite satisfactory to date and plans formulated for the winter season that should further restore the grounds by next spring.
• The night light on the SE corner of Jones is still out. This will be repaired on a priority basis.

• Maintenance Items- These requirements will be handled as quickly as possible on a priority basis. B&G plans to handle a number of these tasks on the next scheduled workday which is Saturday, November.21
• Light Fixtures in Jones rooms need fluorescent tubes and lenses replaced (need to Identify).
• Need an initiative in Children Garden to establish display fixtures for posters and drawings.
• Installation of new paper cup dispensers in rest rooms in of the sanctuary is required.

• Repair of fence section on the east side of the quadrangle where it was removed to replace the water main.
• Finish church choir room modifications.

 New Business

• The older Van needs new windshield wiper blades.
• The fire hydrant in the Quadrangle is in need of paint.
• Sink hole in parking lot needs repair.
• Rehabilitate play ground area-seed grass to be ready by Easter. Need to develop a plan and a cost estimate for doing this.
• Work is being done on priorities as perceived.
• Toilet paper dispenser in Children’s Garden has roller missing.

 The meeting was closed in prayer at 7:50 PM.
