BUILDING & GROUNDS

JANUARY 12, 2010

 The meeting opened with prayer at 7:00 PM.

 In attendance were Charlie Yaryan Moderator, Bill Brady, Jerry Grandle, Austin Breck and Bob Paul, Member at Large.. Absent was Ralph Miller.

Jerry was welcomed back to the Session. His expertise and experience will benefit the Ministry and the Church greatly.

The budget status for the coming year was reviewed. Even after a cutting exercise last week, it was concluded that more may yet be required. But no specific recommendations were developed.

The new lawn project was reviewed. Actions have taken to get soil brought in, worked, seeded, and watered for the earliest possible lawn use.

Status of electronic sign was reviewed. No new actions were taken. Jerry will be briefed on status. The request to proceed with acquisition is on hold, awaiting parallel developments.

New inputs were discussed based on requests by several members to look at the possibilities for a new steeple, a new cross and whether these could all be integrated with our sign project. Further discussions are needed.

Some job assignments were discussed and some made.

Some capital improvement projects were discussed including a canopy over the outside fellowship area.

Support was pledged to Scout projects for a churchyard campout and a tree planting project.

The meeting was closed with a prayer for guidance.
