Congregational Life & Outreach Ministry Team Minutes

April 8, 2008

 Present: Katie Grandle, Joyce Gemoets, Carissa Brealey, Cindy Tafoya, Donna Farmer  and Tracy Geiger

 The meeting opened with prayer.

 1. Budget was looked at and discussed.

 2. Church Softball League - Katie reported that approximately 16 players turned out last Sunday for the first practice. Team is looking for a name. Still need softball bats, waiting for the game schedule.

 3. Young Adults with Families Group - Carissa has agreed to be in charge of getting a new group started. Anyone interested should contact her.

 4. Summer Movies Discussed - Summer is just around the corner and Joyce asked that the group be thinking about ideas and movies for movie night to be planned in more detail at next meeting.

 5. New Members – It was decided that the next new members welcome, be combined with the after church picnic in June instead of a potluck.

 6. Registration Pads - Discussed the good news that some visitors are beginning to fill in the registration pad that lets us know how they came to our church. Listed were phone book, neighbors, and vacation planning.

 7. AP Testing – Lunches, Donna Farmer has communicated with Greg Temple and had the list of how many students will be needing lunch on what days. The testing will be from May 5th to May 16th. Donna will be recruiting help from the Solo Passages group as well as the committee.

 8. Graduation Sunday - Will be Sunday, May 18th. Joyce will get a list of graduates and the gifts. Katie will purchase a cake for after church fellowship. Congregational Life is responsible for the fellowship that Sunday.

 No session action items.

 The meeting closed with prayer.
