MINUTES

May 6, 2008

 In attendance: Travis Becker, Gena Breck, Tracy Geiger, Gary Gemoets, Blaine Goss, Susan Grandle, Mary Ellen Gregg, Olivier Heubo, Kathy Story.

 Gary opened the meeting with a devotional from James 4: 1-11.

 The minutes from the last meeting were approved, and the budget report was reviewed.  We are within budget for the year.  We then received reports on Sunday School, Youth, Adults, and VBS.  Travis is thinking about “selling stock” for our youth programs. Scott will be on an internship all summer, and will not be back until fall.  The garage sale netted $1,500.  VBS is “good to go,” with teacher training materials ready to go.

 Special note: Gena needs volunteers to help once-a-month with the 2-3 year olds and the 4-5 year olds who are escorted from the sanctuary for special  activities during the10:30 worship hour.

 New Business:

 Prayer curriculum—Begins next fall.

Discipleship training—Begins January 09

 Old Business:

 Teacher Training—VBS staff  on Sunday afternoon May 18^th.

VBS—Vacation Bible School (June 16-20, 2008)

 CE is responsible for Fellowship after church on May 11 and May 25.  Board members volunteered to help at times they were available.

 Finally, Travis announced that he will miss our June 3^rd CE meeting.
